Red blend lovers enjoy the variety and complexity of flavors that these wines offer. Celebrate in a special way with a personalized wine label or engraving on a favorite bottle.
Red blend wines are wines made from a combination of multiple grape varieties. Most people think red blends are produced from inferior wine lots, but this could not be more untrue. Red wine blends are incredibly challenging to produce and represent a rare form of art in the wine world. Unlike single varietal wines, which are made from only one type of grape, red blends offer winemakers the opportunity to create unique and complex flavors and represent some of the world's greatest historical producers such as Lafite Rothschild, Margaux, Latour from France, or Opus One, Insignia, Dominus, Ridge Monte Bello from California. Some popular red blend grapes include Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Syrah, Cabernet Franc, and Zinfandel. Red blends are often medium to full-bodied, with notes of dark fruit, such as blackberries, plums, and figs, along with spices and earthy flavors. They pair well with grilled meats, exotic game, and creamy cheeses. Red blends are best served at room temperature at 70-72°F and can benefit from decanting or opening letting the bottles breathe for 15-30 minutes before consuming.
