Dunn's 2018 Napa Cabernet Sauvignon exhibits remarkable purity and focus with aromas of cassis and pencil shavings. On the medium to full-bodied palate, it's streamlined and smooth. The wine has intensity and concentration that subtly glide by, enhanced by fine-grained tannins and lingering notes of cassis and graphite on the finish. This wine will be enjoyable after 5 years of aging and can be properly cellared for up to 30 years. 94 points by Robert Parker's Wine Advocate

Dunn Winery, located on Howell Mountain in Napa Valley, is celebrated for its exceptional Cabernet Sauvignon. Founded in 1979 by Randy Dunn, the winery quickly established a reputation for producing some of Napa’s most distinguished wines. Randy, with experience from working at Caymus Vineyards, brought his expertise and vision to Dunn Vineyards, focusing on creating wines that reflect the unique terroir of Howell Mountain.

The vineyard spans 40 contiguous acres, benefiting from the region's volcanic soil and high elevation, which contribute to the intense flavors and robust tannins of the grapes. Dunn Winery is a family operation, with Randy's son Mike joining in 1999 to manage the winemaking process. Despite the modern advancements in winemaking, Dunn Winery remains committed to traditional methods, emphasizing quality and longevity.

Dunn’s Napa Cabernet Sauvignon is renowned for its purity, focus, and balance. The wine typically undergoes a 32-month élevage, resulting in a densely fruited profile with fine-grained tannins. Aromas of cassis and pencil shavings, coupled with lingering notes of graphite, define its character. This Cabernet is known for its aging potential, often improving with at least 5 years in the cellar and capable of aging gracefully for up to 30 years.
