This wine is a deep, rich red with flavors of cherry, blackberry, mint, and eucalyptus. It has smooth tannins and a hint of earthy and smoky notes, along with a touch of iron. The wine is full-bodied and powerful, but also well-balanced and refined. It reveals more complexity as it sits in the glass. It's ready to drink now and will continue to improve until 2035.
The Dal Forno family has been making wine since 1983. Their estate is in Val D’Illasi and covers 65 acres of vineyards, where they grow traditional local grape varieties like Corvina, Corvinone, Rodinella, Oseleta, and Croatina. The vineyards are located on hillsides 1,000 feet above sea level, where the soil and careful farming practices help produce high-quality grapes. The family uses traditional methods to grow these grapes and combines them with modern techniques to create wines that are both classic in style and exceptionally pure.
